* sweet happy life...

There's a commercial on TV these days with a couple and a dog (Border Collie I believe) and on it they play this little ditty... "sweet happy life..."
It's catchey and gives me a warm feeling.  I've been humming it all morning.  Sad thing is I can't remember what the commercial is for - but the tune is great.  There are so many bad commercials out there that it's nice to find one that's enjoyable.

Anyway, I'm back at the Cove this morning.  Decided I needed to go fishing (for the contentment it brings, not the fish).  So I bought a rowboat (picture at bottom).  It's one of the ones I saw when I was in Maine in August and had taken a picture of it.  Must have been one of those serendipitous things where what happens is not an accident or co-incidence but ? (can't think of the word).  Anyway, that rowboat said " I should be yours" - so now it is.

So this morning I'm out in it, fishing line in water, lazily floating about looking at the sky and letting my mind roam free.  Love this feeling.  I didn't take Toby or the cats with me this first time.  Wanted to make sure that the boat was safe and sea-worthy - and more than that... just wanted to be alone.  ( Be assured they will make me pay for this transgression when I get back to the house)

My "monkey" mind is active these days... jumping from one thing to another without allowing me time to really give each subject the necessary consideration.  So, we're taking a 'time out' - here on the water - where all I need to do is let the silence soothe me and Nature heal.  Then when it's time to get back to these things in the RW, I will be better equiped to handle them.

You're welcome to do the same.  The rowboat will always be moored close to the house, feel free to take it out at any time.  And if you want company - any or all animals (but Thibbs - the wus) will be happy to go along.  No obligations... (however, if you catch any fish and don't want them, the freezer in the house will take them!)

My rowboat is the black one in the center. Like it?  Take it out for a spin...

Have a great weekend!  (and even though it's not conclusive about the sniper - here's praying that the attacks have stopped...)
